Woman chases robber off with pot to rescue elderly lady
A 60-year-old woman chased away a 50-year-old robber on the weekend by beating him with a pot. She scared off the man when she discovered him demanding cash from an 84-year-old woman after pushing her to the floor and pressing a knife to her neck.
The would-be robber fled the house in Ibrány, Szabolcs county, but police captured him soon afterwards.
The woman had brought the pot to her neighbour's house in order to replace the water in which a hen was about to be cooked, as it had frozen into the vessel. The 84-year-old woman was frightened but unhurt.
