Woman allegedly raped in Budapest might face prison
An investigation launched against five police officers for allegedly raping a young woman in Budapest in May is expected to be closed due to lack of proof, writes news portal hirszerzo.hu, based on a report in tabloid Blikk.
If the court decides the officers are innocent, it is possible that they might sue the alleged victim, Zsanett E., for providing false testimony, for which the maximum penalty is five years in prison.
Dr. György Magyar, the attorney for one of the officers, said that the case will probably not be closed for another few months.
