Wild boar causes deadly crash on Slovak-Hungarian border
A wild boar running onto the road caused a fatal accident on the M1 motorway Tuesday morning.
An Opel Corsa, driving on the M1 between Ács and Gönyű at 6 a.m. swerved into the opposite lane after colliding with the boar, then it crashed into an oncoming Skoda. The Skoda's 25-year-old driver died on the spot.
Police said both drivers had their seat belts on, but the collision was so powerful that not even the seat belt could have saved the driver's life.
