Unidentified perpetrators broke the windows of two Budapest offices of the governing Hungarian Socialist Party (MSZP) and set one of them on fire early Friday morning, reports metro.hu.

The more serious of the incidents took place at the MSZP office on District X's Martinovics tér, which was set on fire by an unidentified flammable liquid that was poured into the office after a window had been broken. Firefighters put out the flames quickly and no one was injured.

A bottle containing flammable liquid was found on the sidewalk in front of the second vandalized party office, on Ady Endre utca in District XIX, a spokesperson for Budapest Police said.

Sándor Burány, chairman of the MSZP's Budapest committee has asked political parties and civilian organizations to distance themselves from the incidents.
