Two Hungarian films to be screened at Palm Springs
Feature films Bibliotheque Pascal by Szabolcs Hajdu and Womb by Benedek Fliegauf are to be screened at the Palm Springs international film festival starting on Thursday.
The first major U.S. film festival of the year in California will present close to 200 films coming from 68 countries. Bibliotheque Pascal is among the strongest competitors for the Oscar-nomination, the Hungarian Film Union said on Tuesday.
Feature film Womb, the first English-speaking film by Benedek Fliegauf, will be premiered in Palm Springs. The German-French-Hungarian film with actors Eva Green and Matt Smith is listed in the World Cinema Now section.
Both Hungarian films are state-funded through the Motion Picture Public Foundation.
