Traffic restrictions in Budapest due to subway construction
Motorists can expect traffic restrictions near Budapest's Eastern Railway Station (Keleti pályaudvar) due to the construction of the Metro 4 subway line for four months starting this Sunday, writes dunatv.hu.
At the intersection of Thököly út and Dózsa György út, only buses of public transportation company BKV and emergency vehicles will be permitted to turn onto Thököly út towards Baross tér. Other vehicles will have to access Thököly út from small connecting streets. There will be no restrictions on which way to turn, and parking will be permitted on both sides of the road.
From Rákóczi út at Baross tér, traffic will be allowed to move towards Kerepesi út only.
For these four months, Nefelejcs utca and Bethlen Gábor utca will become dead ends.
BKV buses 7, 907 and 973, in the direction of Bosnyák tér, will continue using the temporary stop in front of the main entrance of the railway station, which was set up on March 1.
