Traffic-reduction measures planned, toll zone talk denied
Fifth District deputy mayor Katalin Molnár denied Wednesday's reports that the city plans to introduce a toll zone in downtown Budapest, but she made it clear that there are plans to impose drastic parking fees. Molnár said the idea is to get as many people as possible to use public transport or ride bicycles to central Budapest or to use cheaper underground garages if they drive into town.
