Thirty-six injured in tourist bus accident in Budapest
Thirty-six people were injured, eight of them seriously, on Tuesday morning when a tourist bus collided with a tractor-trailer, ran off the road and fell three meters on Grassalkovich út in Budapest's District XXIII.
According to hvg.hu, the double decker bus was transporting 45 elderly people from Csepel to a product presentation in Celldömölk when it collided with the tractor-trailer. The bus then ran off the road, burst through a concrete wall and fell three meters into an industrial yard.
Two passengers traveling on the top floor of the bus were trapped in the wreck and had to be rescued by firefighters. Thirty-four more passengers were injured, eight of them seriously.
Traffic is not affected by the accident.
