Taxi killer gets life sentence from court
Richárd F. of Tatabánya was sentenced to life imprisonment at Komárom-Esztergom County Court yesterday, for the murder of a taxi driver on September 20 last year. The prosecutor accepted the sentence but the accused's defence lawyer appealed it.
The court heard that the man had forced the driver to hand over cash at knifepoint in an attempt to replace cash which he had lost playing slot machines. Richárd F. stabbed the victim in the leg, causing injuries from which he later bled to death.
