The biggest names to perform at the festival will be Muse, Iron Maiden, Public Image Limited, Madness and Nina Hagen.
On day minus one, Monday, veteran rock group Kispál és a Borz will give their farewell concert and on Tuesday, day zero, a concert in tribute to the late performing artist Tamás Cseh will be held.
A novelty this year is that an EU tent has been set up, to issue information on Hungary's upcoming EU presidency.
This year's budget is Ft 2.7 billion, Ft 50 million higher than last year.
Aside from police, 1,200 security guards will also be on duty. British, French, German and Dutch police will also be posted.
