Swiss man arrested in Hungary for threatening neighbor with gun
A Swiss man has been arrested for threatening his neighbours with a loaded gun in the village of Szabadi in south-west Hungary, a police spokesman said on Thursday.
Police were alerted before 11.00 pm on Wednesday about the middle-aged man who went over to his neighbours in search of his daughter. He held a loaded gun to a woman's head, warning the neighbours not to leave their home.
After the alert, police arrived at the scene and surrounded the man's mobile home, telling him to come out with hands in the air. The man obliged and showed his gun to police but was unable to prove that he had a licence. He was arrested and proceedings have been initiated against him for smuggling a gun into Hungary.
