Suspects in lynching case try to commit suicide
Two of the three men detained in connection with the murder of the teacher in Olaszliszka attempted suicide while in prison, reports index.hu, based on local hearsay from the village.
One of the men allegedly hanged himself, and the other slit his wrists. Both men were saved and taken to hospital, but one of them is still in coma.
"I heard such rumors in the village. But even last week something similar was spread, only to turn out to be false," said Gyula Fekete, the mayor of the village.
The police are still present in the village, checking the identities of everyone coming to the village, and continuously patrol the streets.
