Support grows for canceling Aug. 20 fireworks
A Medián poll suggests that two-thirds of Hungarians favour cancelling the August 20 fireworks show and using the money saved to help those recently hit by floods.
Of the respondents, 25% would not want the fireworks display to be cancelled, but merely shorter and simpler.
A Facebook group suggesting this redirection of public funds set up last week now has over 200,000 members.
