Students get 14 years for murdering classmate
Two 16-year-olds were each sentenced to 14-year prison terms by Somogy County Court on Thursday for brutally slaying a high school classmate in Kaposvár last May.
The two, who had been friends of the victim, decided to kill him weeks in advance. They lured him to a pond near Kaposvár, where they beat him up and pushed him into the water.
The defendants' lawyers have appealed for more lenient terms.
The case will now move to the Pécs Court of Appeals.
