Budapest's Pintér gallery will hold an auction of Socialist-era relics on November 7.

Over 250 works of fine and industrial art from 1945 to the 1960s will be offered. Among these, Soviet dictator Lenin is featured prominently, depicted in oil paintings, graphics, posters and even porcelain figurines.

Hungarian dictator Rákosi also appears in graphics, paintings and bronze statues.

The most expensive item offered will be a 73-centimeter-tall bronze Marx bust for Ft 1.3 million (€4,270). [deluxe.hu]
