Slovak-Hungarian faces indictment over false attack claims
Hungarian Hedvig Malina faces indictment over her false claims to have been assaulted last year because of her ethnicity, Slovak Prosecutor General Dobroslav Trnka announced on Wednesday.
Malina, a university student in Nyitra, claimed last August that two unidentified skinheads had beaten her up because she was speaking in Hungarian on her mobile phone. However, Slovak police said she made the story up.
The case led to an international outcry and caused tensions in Hungarian-Slovak relations.
