The mashelye.eu ("someone else's space") website is an attempt to draw attention to cases of drivers taking handicapped parking spots, and to establish a traffic culture in which people respect each other.

The newly launched website is maintained by transport company Plimsoll and advertising company Pesti Portré Reklámműhely and features a gallery of cars occupying handicapped parking spaces. The site encourages visitors to take such photos anytime they see cars parking in such places and submit them to the site. The site operators also distribute leaflets saying "If you are not in their place, do not take their places!" They are looking for volunteers to put the leaflets on any cars they see taking handicapped spaces.

According to stop.hu, among the first photographs posted at the website, is one of two police cars parked in the handicapped area, while the whole parking lot was empty.

On the other hand, obtaining a disabled pass is not that difficult. The latest scandal involving one, reported by hirado.hu, happened when state railway company MÁV's insurance boss Bálint Kiss attacked reporters who were filming the headquarters of the insurance company, including his Mercedes parked on the sidewalk with a disabled pass.
