Section of Hungary's M7 motorway closed
A section of the M7 motorway running from Budapest towards Lake Balaton will be closed for almost a month starting today, reports hirszerzo.hu.
The five-kilometer-long stretch of highway to be closed starts roughly 12 kilometers from Budapest, and work on it will probably last until the 18th of September.
During the first 10 days of construction all outbound traffic on the motorway will be halted, with traffic diverted towards the M1 motorway. After September 1, traffic will be diverted both to the M1 and to another section of the M7.
The M7's exit at Törökbálint will also be under repair and therefore closed during this period.
The entire project is expected to cost approximately Ft 270 million (just over €1 million).
