Ryanair launches campaign against Hungarian airline Malév

Ryanair will hand out 200 free tickets to customers who testify in writing that they are unsatisfied about the services and prices of Malév. "Those who express a unique disgust to Malév's high prices and lack of punctuality will be rewarded with two tickets," regional marketing director Tomas Kulakowski announced.

The former state-owned airline distanced itself from the campaign, saying it does not intend to compete with discount airlines, but issued a statement that Malév flies to central airports, whereas Ryanair passengers flying to Frankfurt have a 120km journey ahead of them after landing. The free tickets offered by Ryanair do not include taxes and fees, Népszabadság adds.
