Roma attack journalist of Hungarian daily Magyar Nemzet
Three Roma youths attacked László L. Tolcsvai, a correspondent for Magyar Nemzet, in downtown Miskolc on Wednesday. The three shouted at Tolcsvai to leave Roma alone.
Tolcsvai said he was putting coins into a parking machine when three youths came up to him and one of them attempted to strike him. As they attacked him, he ended up on the ground, along with two of the assailants, while he tried to kick the third one. All three then fled.
The journalist received a death threat in February for his coverage of the Olaszliszka lynching case.
