Automated parking garage opens in downtown Budapest
An automated parking garage has opened in Budapest's District V on Reáltanoda utca, reports hir3.hu. The garage structure can hold 200 cars and its operators expect over 80% of spots to be taken by pass-holders.
The parking garage utilizes modern parking tray technology, which means that drivers do not have to find an empty spot in the building, their cars are simply moved from ground-level boxes to empty spaces by machines. The garage is open 24 hours a day.
The facade of the building dating back to the second half of the 18th century - earlier the Franklin printing house - was preserved.
