Railway union calls for strike on April 30
Railway trade union VDSZSZ has called a strike from midnight to 6 pm on April 30, VDSZSZ head Istvan Gasko announced on Tuesday.
VDSZSZ protests against planned government austerity measures that will hit railway employees, Gasko said.
The trade union leader has also asked other unions to join the strike initiative.
VDSZSZ represents about 25 percent of Hungary's roughly 35,000 rail workers.
