Protesters disturb live broadcast of Hungarian Television
A live broadcast of the nightly news program of the Hungarian Television, Híradó, was disturbed by anti-government protesters on Debrecen's main square on Thursday, reports fn.hu. The show's anchors have recently been traveling around the country to broadcast the show from various locales, a practice that will continue despite the incident.
News Director Attila Kert said that the crew was "surprised" when protesters shouted anti-government slogans while the anchors were reading the news, because of the enthusiasm of the residents in other towns where the show has been filmed. As an example, he mentioned the southern capital of Szeged, and the picturesque Balaton town of Tihany, where the backdrop to the outdoor studio was dressed in flowers.
