On 23 September, the Kossuth tér protesters marched to Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsány's house. This group of anti-government protesters were named after the square in front of the Parliament where they regularly hold demonstrations.

The demonstration started around a quarter before 6 P.M., when about 150 protesters started their march from Kossuth tér towards Margit híd. In the meantime hundreds of people joined the procession which arrived at Gyurcsány's house an hour later.

The march, accompanied by policemen, attracted a number of journalists. The scheduled demonstration had been registered to end at 9 P.M., and the protesters left a quarter hour earlier. Since the protesters observed the law, police intervention was not necessary.
