A heavily pregnant Hungarian woman expecting twins arrived back safely from the Middle East this morning. Her plane landed at Ferihegy at 7:45, after which she was transported straight to the hospital. Hungarian airline Malév spokesperson Krisztina Németh told hirado.hu that "considering the circumstances, the young mother is well."

The woman had been traveling with her sister and their children. They fled to the Lebanonese capital, Beirut, on the night between Saturday and Sunday. From there, with the help of the local Hungarian embassy, they traveled to Damascus, Syria. Before they could fly home, an obstetrician had to be consulted due to the advanced pregnancy.
