Policeman dismissed for cigarette smuggling in Hungary
Baja's police chief immediately dismissed sergeant major Zoltán T. after customs officials discovered nearly 50,000 smuggled cigarettes without seal tags in a lorry parked in the courtyard of his home on Tuesday. The value of the shipment is Ft 25 million.
T. claimed that he did not know the driver of the lorry, who had asked him for permission to park the vehicle in the courtyard, as it had broken down.
