Police launch new public order sweep
The Hungarian police have launched new, month-long publics safety sweep in Budapest, writes hirtv.hu, based on a report by HavariaPress. During the push, checks will be increased at railway stations and underpasses.
The sweep follows an earlier drive that was launched in May.
Over the past three months, more than 14,000 individuals were checked by the police, 446 were brought to a police station, and 254 were taken into custody. Criminal proceedings were started in 67 cases, reports were filed in more than 2,550 cases, and more than Ft 100 million in fines were levied.
