All drivers on Hungary's M7 motorway will be stopped today at a police checkpoint near Lake Balaton, reports hirszerzo.hu.
Police have set up the checkpoint at the M7 Táska rest area near Fonyód, a resort town on Lake Balaton's southern shore, and will stop drivers traveling in both directions from 1 to 5 p.m. today.
The Somogy County Police said the aim of the four-hour checkpoint is to catch speeding drivers, intoxicated drivers, illegal foreigners and wanted criminals.
Officers also will check vehicles transporting hazardous materials and trucks hired for international transport.
