Police arrests flu vaccine thief
Police have arrested a man who burgled a pharmacy in Nagycenk in northwest Hungary while being drunk and stolen more than 30 ampoules of new flu vaccine, a local police spokeswoman told MTI on Saturday.
The 30-year-old local resident broke into the pharmacy in the early hours of Friday and also stole a laptop, medical instruments and 30,000 forints (EUR 110) in cash, said Gabriella Kalman.
Before the burglary, the man had been consuming considerable amount of alcohol in local pubs, she added.
He admitted the burglary but the stolen items are still being sought. An investigation is underway and police have initiated placing the suspect in preliminary detention.
