PM proposes health model similar to opposition's idea
The health insurance model proposed by the Prime Minister last Thursday is similar to a 1998 Fidesz proposal backed by businessman Imre Somody, Napi Gazdaság reports.
The 1998 proposal by MPs Imre Frajna and Gabriella Selmeczi called for seven regional chapters of the state health fund OEP charged with monitoring patients' treatments.
Somody implemented a similar model via the non-profit Mission Health Centrum in Veresegyház in 2004, led by current Health Minister Ágnes Horváth.
