Pécs synagogue desecrated with Nazi slogans
The historic synagogue in the southern Hungarian city of Pécs was desecrated by unknown perpetrators on Wednesday morning, reports mti.hu. The gates in front of the building and an adjacent community building were found covered with swastikas and racist slogans sprayed on in black paint.
István Krausz, the president of the local Jewish community, said the graffiti included slogans such as "Heil Hitler" and "beat the Jews."
The attack was committed Wednesday morning between 7:30 and 8:30. Police have started an investigation.
