Orangeways to compete with Hungary's Volán
Orangeways will enter the international coach market on November 26, competing with state company Volán to destinations Prague, Cluj, Vienna, Mukaceve, and Krakow, CEO Miklós Kovács announced.
Orangeways has acquired eight BOVA Magic buses, with 12 more to follow next spring. The company will use the Népliget bus terminal in Budapest.
Orangeways wants to compete with low-cost airways, especially for destinations within 600km, Kovács said. As an example of ticket prices, he said a one-way trip to Prague will cost Ft 3,700.
KFK Investment Holding, owned by entrepreneur Ferenc Kedves, set up the new coach company.
