One killed in attack on Tokaj money transporter

A security guard was killed when armed robbers attacked a money transport car near the wine town of Tokaj (Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County) late Monday night, fn.hu. reports.

The white van was found three kilometers from the town's border on a dirt road leading to Tarcal, a few hundred meters from the main road. Police said that one of two he security guards accompanying the car died from the injuries sustained during the struggle. They refused to reveal more details until further investigation has been carried out.

Around 100 officers from the Borsod and Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County Police are participating in the investigation.
