Olympic champion Hungarian hammer thrower dies at 71
Olympic champion hammer thrower Gyula Zsivótzky died aged 71 at the weekend, following a protracted disease.
Zsivótzky took gold at the Mexico Olympics in 1968, and also won two silver medals in Rome in 1960 and in Tokyo in 1964, and also held the world record for a time. He won the Hungarian title 13 times, was elected sportsman of the year twice and in 2000 was voted the best Hungarian athlete of the 20th century.
