New trial begins in case involving alleged police rape
Zsanett E., acting as a private plaintiff, accused five policemen of rape at a criminal trial that began yesterday.
In an earlier court case Zsanett accused the five of sexually assaulting her in a side street off Múzeum körút in Budapest on May 4, 2007, but all five policemen were acquitted.
The Municipal Court military council judged the five guilty only of leaving their territory in the Eighth District without permission when "accompanying home" the plaintiff, for which they were reprimanded and fined.
