New government to cut Budapest parking prices
Fidesz will reduce parking fees in Budapest by around 15%, according to an amendment motion it submitted to Parliament on Monday.
Fidesz would also put parking in the hands of the local government and ban private companies from managing parking spaces.
The Constitutional Court voided the Budapest parking decree late last year and gave Parliament until June 30 to enact fresh legislation, Fifth District Fidesz mayor Antal Rogán recalled on Tuesday.
