Hedvig Malina, the girl who claims to have been beaten up in Slovakia for speaking in Hungarian, will ask Slovakia's public prosecutor to seek a special review of her case, writes uno.hu.

The investigation of Malina's claim was terminated in September, after the authorities decided it was without basis, and she now faces the possibility of being prosecuted for her assertions.

But according to Malina's lawyer, 21 of the 31 objections she raised during her hearing were completely ignored by the authorities.

The Slovak public prosecutor, Dobroslav Trnka, could decide as early as next week if he will re-open the case, which led to heightened tensions between Hungary and Slovakia, which is currently ruled by a coalition openly hostile to the country's large ethnic Hungarian minority.
