Designer hotel opens in District VII

A new designer hotel has opened on Dohány utca near the New York Palace hotel, lit up by bright blue neon. Despite being only 9 meters wide when viewed from the street the Soho Hotel contains 68 rooms and 6 penthouse apartments.

According to Kultura.hu, which published a review of the hotel, it has a comfortable family atmosphere, well lit spaces and a retro design.

The first floor of the hotel includes a bar, a lounge, a restaurant and a garden, where in summer months guests will be able to experience the mood of Pest's inner yards. Adding to the genuine Pest experience are the open corridors connecting the street-front and the back parts of the building, where guests can see the real residents of neighboring buildings.

The hotel's architect was Miklós Marosi, and the interior designer was Gábor Schinagl.
