Nearly 70% of Hungarian couples happy, survey shows
Some 69 percent of Hungarian couples are satisfied with their relationship, a new survey by Ipsos published on Wednesday shows.
As many as 73 percent of the married couples surveyed said their relationship was harmonic, 19 percent said it was fluctuating and 8 percent said it was dominated by conflict, Ipsos said.
Some 85 percent of couples in their 20s and 60s said they had a happy relationship and 67 percent of those in their 30s and 40s said their relationship was harmonic.
Unmarried couples live in happier relationship if they have children together, the survey showed.
Some 36 percent of those living in conflict said they were doing more than the other partner in the relationship to achieve peace and harmony. This group was almost exclusively represented by women. At the same time, exclusively men represented that 22 percent who said it was the other person in the relationship that held the key to living in harmony.
As many as 85 percent of the people living in a harmonious relationship said they contributed equally as their partners to the family idyll.
