MSZP accused of skewing pre-referendum opinion poll
The Socialist party is preparing for the referendum to be initiated soon by the opposition by conducting a survey of the population of a Budapest district. In the opinion of right-wing news channel HirTV, the surveys are skewed to support the government opinion about the questions.
The surveys ask the opinion of people about the school tuition fees in higher education, doctors' visit fees and the sale of medication outside pharmacies. The questionnaires contain two questions on each topic, worded in such a way as to support the government's standpoint.
The doctors' visit fees, for instance, are contrasted with gratuity payments, while school tuition fees are supported by the argument that free education does not make a distinction between poor and rich students.
