A Hungarian national found lying in a pit in a wood near Navan, west Ireland, by local rescue units after a week-long search is receiving medical treatment, a local newspaper reported on Wednesday. The 50-year-old man arrived in Navan in mid-July and his friends reported his disappearance to the local authorities on July 23.

The newspaper reported that the man was last seen walking on the banks of the Bayne River. He was found severely weakened on July 30, not having eaten or drunk for seven days.
