Renovation of Budapest's Margit híd will begin in July, City Hall sources said on Wednesday. The Ft 12 billion project will be part-funded by EU subsidies.
The bridge will be temporarily reopened to traffic in August 2010, and its structure will be completely renovated by the following March.
The bridge will be widened and two cycle lanes will be built. Tram traffic will continue throughout the project.
