Malév to operate flights to NE Romania from March
Hungarian airlines Malev will launch scheduled flights from Budapest to the city of Iasi, NE Romania, from March, the airlines told MTI on Wednesday.
Malev will operate the service five times a week until May and six times a week from June, it said.
Malev expects to carry passengers from western Europe transiting Budapest to Iasi and those travelling to the region on business.
The airlines currently operates 56 flights weekly to four Romanian cities namely; Bucharest, Timisoara, Targu Mures and Cluj-Napoca. It carried 160,000 passengers on those flights in January-September last year, 26 percent more than during the same period in 2007.
