Major Hungarian music festival opens with protest
Hungary's largest countryside rock festival opened Wednesday with a planned protest for construction of a road that would relieve congestion in the Tokaj wine region, reports rtlklub.hu.
Protestors staged a procession of horse carriages and bicycles at the Hegyalja Festival and demanded Hungary build the proposed Route 39.
The road would provide an alternative route through the Tokaj-Hegyalja region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and relieve heavy traffic problems on main streets of Tokaj villages.
