Hungary's customs and financial guard have discovered a painting by Mihály Munkácsy (1844-1900) in a package sent by air mail from the US to Hungary, reports radio.hu.
If the painting is the "Naplemente" ("Sunset"), lost nearly 100 years ago, then it is worth over Ft 100 million (€400).
The painting is being examined by experts at the Hungarian National Gallery. The sender and the addressee of the package are being investigated for smuggling.
