Kontroll movie stars step in as ticket inspectors
In a further attempt to improve its popularity, Budapest's mass transport operator BKV employed actors from the hit movie "Kontroll" to replace ticket inspectors on April 1, reports Index.hu.
Between 10:00 and 12:00 on Sunday, Zoltán Mucsi, Csaba Pindroch, Sándor Badár, Zsolt Nagy and Sándor Csányi asked for tickets and passes at the Deák Ferenc tér metro station.
The movie "Kontroll" about the life of subway ticket controllers was one of the most successful Hungarian films of recent years, and BKV is trying to turn some of its success to its own benefit, the portal comments. At the beginning of the movie, however, former BKV President Botond Aba appears and claims it was not about BKV but a fictitious subway system in a fictitious city.
The company has been saying for months that it would like to improve its communications. Most recently, it raised attention by issuing a statement on the results of its women's bowling team entitled "When BKV women take balls in their hands."
