Jail imposter charged prison fees after serving sentence
The punishment implementation service is demanding Ft 2.5 million (€9,087) from a man who served jail sentence for someone else in Kecskemét, as he was an "uninvited guest who deceived the staff."
According to hirszerzo.hu, the sum of the bill was calculated by adding up all expenses (including board and guarding) related to keeping the man in prison, which came to Ft 7,534 (€27.38) a day.
The prison was notified about the "hired convict" by a citizen. Legal procedures can be launched against the man for forging documents and abetting crime, after which he might go to prison "in his own right."
