The total number of fatalities caused by the H1N1 flu virus now stands at 36, National head physician Ferenc Falus announced on Tuesday.

Falus explained that 60 to 120 people are being hospitalised every day, of whom four or five are treated at intensive wards and three to four are put on respirators.

Some 26% of the population has been inoculated against the flu virus, Falus added.
