Hungary may compete with Poland and Romania to host the new Daimler plant of new generation Mercedes "A" and "B" class automobiles, German car magazines Auto Motor und Sport and Automobilwoche reported.

The publications also mentioned Serbia as a possible location and stress that Romania has the smallest chance. The new plant will produce at least 100,000 cars per year.

The Daimler management will address the question tomorrow.
