Hungarians beaten in Slovakia on the weekend
Two atrocities were committed against Hungarians in two Slovakian cities on the weekend, radio.hu reports.
Three teenagers beat up a 43-year-old man in downtown Révkomárom (Komarno) after he talked to them in Hungarian. The man needed to be taken to the hospital.
In Érsekújvár (Nové Zámky), a sentence born during the fascist rule in WWII was written on the homes of two Hungarian families, which orders them to move to the other side of the Danube river.
Béla Bugár, president of the Hungarian Coalition Party of Slovakia, said these incidents show that aggressive, extremist behavior has appeared in Slovakian-Hungarian relations, and he expects the Slovakian government to condemn anti-Hungarian hostilities.
